As a professional hairdresser and colour specialist, I’ve worked with thousands of women of every age, skin tone and personality. Every face is unique. Every complexion tells its own story. Even today, I still work as a hairdresser because I genuinely love it. I love meeting people, listening to their stories and helping them leave feeling happier and more confident than when they arrived.

Those conversations have taught me far more than any beauty trend ever could. Throughout my career I’ve learnt something that has become the foundation of everything I do. Makeup can enhance the outside, but confidence always begins within.

Why Colour Matters

After analysing thousands of faces throughout my career, I’ve learnt that choosing colour is often far more important than wearing more makeup.
The correct undertone can brighten tired skin, soften shadows, reduce the appearance of redness, balance the complexion and create a naturally healthy appearance without anyone ever noticing why.

Colour is incredibly powerful, but it should never feel complicated.

I wanted to recommend products that looked like skin rather than makeup. I needed lightweight mineral foundation that softened the appearance of rosacea, thread veins, pigmentation and uneven skin tone without looking heavy or settling into fine lines.

Makeup that felt breathable, comfortable and easy to wear from morning until evening. Products that worked with the skin instead of masking it. I wanted beautiful, natural looking coverage that women of every age could wear with confidence.

Despite searching for years, I never found one collection that truly delivered everything I wanted to recommend with complete confidence. So I decided to create it myself.
That decision became English Mineral Makeup.

That’s why English Mineral Makeup focuses on carefully selected mineral ingredients and botanical formulations that are chosen for their quality, performance and skin compatibility. Many of our customers have sensitive skin, mature skin, rosacea or simply prefer lightweight, breathable makeup that allows their own complexion to shine through.

Rather than creating products simply because they’re fashionable, I create products that I genuinely believe deserve a place in our collection.

More Than Makeup

Over the years, English Mineral Makeup has been honoured with multiple independent beauty awards. I’m eternally grateful but my privilege is receiving messages from women who tell me they finally enjoy wearing makeup again, say they feel more confident, and tell me they’ve stopped hiding behind heavy foundation. Women who have rediscovered the pleasure of looking in the mirror and recognising who they are.

Although English Mineral Makeup has grown into an award-winning British beauty brand, I remain closely involved in every aspect of the business. I continue to help customers choose the right shades, develop new products, answer questions about ingredients and share the knowledge I’ve gathered throughout my career.

One of my greatest ambitions is for English Mineral Makeup to become more than a makeup brand. I want it to become a trusted source of knowledge where women can learn about colour, mineral makeup, ingredients, skin and confidence with complete trust.
